Introduction

First of all, thank you for choosing Delivery Watch, which is the leading self-serve solution for e-mail deliverability optimization. The service complements your e-mail marketing environment by providing you with a range of statistical results that enable you to analyze and assess the deliverability of your e-mail campaigns.

What type of testing, monitoring and analysis tools does Delivery Watch provide?

Delivery Watch enables you to run a spam filter test before dispatching your e-mail campaigns (see p. xy). This test tells you how today’s most prevalent spam filters are likely to react to your campaign and intelligibly translates into intelligible information the technical jargon that “explains” why your e-mails were blocked.

After you launch your campaign, an e-mail address “seed list” consisting of a representative sample of recipients in 80 to 90% of your target regions enables you to determine your campaign’s statistical delivery rate. These statistics are based on the spam settings employed by most users and internet providers.

Delivery Watch also checks public blacklists hourly and generates an alert if any mail server IP address or sender domain used by your campaigns appear on a key blacklist. This is an extremely useful function because e-mails via a blacklisted mail server are generally deleted without a bounce message – and you never find out about it.

The Delivery Watch analysis tool enables you to compare numerous parameters for your campaigns with their counterparts for the campaigns of all customers that have been tested by Delivery Watch. The advantage of this feature is that the statistics from your own campaigns would never provide sufficient statistically valid data regarding factors that affect deliverability. Delivery Watch also calculates representative deliverability benchmarks based on the campaigns of all customers tested by Delivery Watch. These benchmarks provide you with (a) realistic estimates of campaign deliverability performance and (b) reliable information regarding specific improvements you can make in your mass e-mailings.

Delivery Watch has been developed for IT specialits as well as for marketing professionals and therefore is extremely user friendly and intuitive. The present manual will enable you to make optimal use of Delivery Watch. If you would like to give us feedback about the manual or application, you are welcome to do so.
